301 Redirect From non www domain to www in Godaddy
You really need to redirect from domain.com to www.domain.com in order to make your site well optimized for google or any other search engine, so here is the step how you can 301 Redirect From non www domain to www in Godaddy.First log in to Godaddy
Then Goto My account and then My Products.
Click the domain from the list of you domain for which you would like to redirect
Now in the Control panel Look for forwarding and click Manage
Then Type Full domain name http://www.domain.com
and then choose permanent Domain forward and then save and wait for some time for the change to appear.

That forwarding tool is to forward one from one domain to another, it doesn't work for non-www to www, all it does is create a loop and you'll get a "this website is temporarily unavailable message".
You can easily do a permanent 301 redirect through your GoDaddy hosting account. I'm not high-tech, and I did one in five minutes on my site. Here's the link — http://support.godaddy.com/help/article/5120
