How to Record Internet Live Streaming TV

There are many time that you are watching Live streaming of a TV through internet and you want to record this. If you are watching through a TV card then you can easily record the match without any problem but If you are watching from some online website that provides live streaming then the case is different. You might want to record the live streaming from internet so that you can later watch the streaming or even you can upload it in YouTube so that you get more viewers in YouTube.

I am about to share you how to do this using VLC media Player. You may need VLC media player in order to do this task.

Once you get VLC media player and then install this, you can use this to record live streaming or any other video source.

First in the VLC media player menu, click on view and click on View Advanced Controls. If this is checked then you can see some extra controls appear above the play pause button in the media player. You can click on record and record any kind of video that is being played in VLC media player. Now since you can record anything from VLC screen, you just need to know how you can play the streaming in VLC media player so that you can record the streaming.

For this you need to click on media in the menubar. There click on Open Capture device.( This method can be done by clicking ctrl+c shortcut key combination to open the capture device in VLC media player.)
Once the capture device box is open, you need to choose desktop from the drop down list in the capture mode. Choosing this will display everything that you use in your desktop or laptop screen in VLC screen. Now choose on record and quickly switch to the live streaming video. This will be recording your live streaming video.

This way you can save the live streaming video.


Alternatively and easily you can do this as well.


Press Ctrl+R or click on media and click on convert save. Click on Capture device tab above and select desktop from select mode drop down list. Now click on Convert/Save button below and you will see a new window that asks for configuration. Make proper configuration and click on Start button. You screen will be recorded until you press stop button in VLC media player.

Here make proper configuration means to selecting Destination file. Name it with extension mpeg and in the settings, In encapsulation click mpeg-TS, in video codec mpeg1, In audio codec set as mpeg 4 Audio(AAC) and then click on Save and your streaming to the file will start.
