6 Days 1000 visitors on a new blog

This year 2012 has been a unique one fro webmasters. There have been many changes in Google search and its hard to follow. We have noticed many ups and downs in rankings because of this changes. Many things that used to get our web site on rank now cause them get down. Since Google has been the dominating one in search, so we need to follow and adapt the changes.

Experimented with my blog Give Me Goal.

To know what things effetcs much, I have used just 3 simple and major optimization tricks and they are both offline and online optimization tricks. I made backlinks, I socially shared my site and main of all I updated my wordpress site regularly and this was the reason visitors started to notice my site on Google. I made some of my friends to share in Google plus and Tweet in twitters. Additionally, my contents were football related which was a plus point. All the results and highlights were posted in Facebook and social sites, I got boosted in search engine. This was the reason withing first 5 days of launch of my blog, I started getting 200+ visitors a day where 60% were search engine visitors and 45 of 60 were from Google.

Conclusion:
What I have concluded is that, now a days Google gives priority to latest posts that the older one. Also it focuses lot on Socially shared websites, meaning that the crawlers picks the shared links faster. Also while making backlinks, I noticed that guest writing were the best options because Google does not gives main priority to links that comes from sidebar and footer while the links from middle of the page are counted.

Since we all know that PR increases with increase in backlinks from high trusted pages, trusted in sense that they have a PR as well. I will here just discuss about the free ways which is little hard to get as free things are  harder to gain.

Let you know that backlinks count higher from the page which are dofollow. To know what dofollow and nofollow are, you might Google it. First you need to have a list of high PR blog list that are dofollow. Either get the list I collected Great Lists of high Dofollow blogs or know how to Search Dofollow Blogs in Google. After you collect the list, you will need to find the blog posts in those blogs with high Page rank and make genuine comments there which will provide you a strong backlink. To find the high Page rank backlink, install seoquake plugin in Firefox web browser which is an ideal tool. Then you can Google search this way site:domainname.com which shows the list of pages with backlinks. Choose the posts with high back links and then comment. This helps you to provide good valued backlinks. Also you can comment in new fresh blog posts in those high PR blogs because those blog posts will get good page Rank in Future.

Additionally you can write in many blogs for guest post. This helps you provide good backlink,traffic and proper reputation in blogging network.

I am going to share some effective Link building strategies that I use for my blogs. Commenting in blogs is one of my favorite way to get backlink for my blog. This helps me to build backlink and get in a network as well. So I comment in most of the blogs and I also note that the blogs are Dofollow.

Article Link Wheel

This is other strategy that I use to build strong link to my blog whenever my blog is at initial phase. For this, I would write posts in different free Article Submission sites. Every article is linked to my main blog and also all the articles are connected in link wheel. All the articles are related to my blog so that it does not look spam.

Free Blog Creations

Alternatively I create many niche blogs from free blogging platform. I create blogs at free platforms like yola,blogger, WordPress and make link wheel between them and every blog linking to main blog.

Dofollow Social Bookmarking

I bookmark my blog to dofollow social bookmarking sites. Also I submit the niche blogs and Articles that I have created to make the backlinks coming to my blogs strong.

Dofollow Forums

There are many dofollow forums and I register for free to them and provide website in the profile page. This gives me some backlinks to my blog. More Forums I register, more will be the backlink. So I can get lots of backlinks, all I need to do is register and provide URL. There are lots of dofollow forums.

How to Check Keyword Competition

You might want to know how strong is the competition for certain keyword if you want to start a blog based on that keyword. Suppose you are in plan to make a blog for Weight loss then you would like to know how strong is the competition to rank in the first page of that keyword. For this you will need to make proper analysis of the keyword. I would want to share some of my experience on how I check the keyword competition.

Performing the Check

Suppose I am about to start a blog for Nepali Mobile Applications, then First before starting it, I would make a search in Google for this.

When I searched, I found Following things;

The top ranked link is a page not main domain(Good News as this is easy to beat)
It has no Google Page Rank or Small(Google Page Rank upto 3 is easy to beat)
Page Rank of Main Domain is 2(Easy to beat)
This means that If I make some small effort, I could easily rank top in this keyword.

Checking for Competitive keyword

Now I want to check the same thing for the Keyword 'Weight Loss'

When I did this, I found that:

The Site in First Page Contained Sites With PR 6, 5 and the first one had a permalink(Difficult to defeat)

Even the last Domain in First page was pr4(So Difficult to rank top)

Making Variations on Keyword Keeping meaning similar

This means it was difficult to rank in top page with this keyword, so I would do a little change. I would change my search keyword 'Weight loss for teen'

What I found that the page in First place was not from main Domain(Advantage)

This page was just Page Rank 4(Pr 4 can be defeated with high Effort)

So after performing some search with variations, you can decide which keyword to target for your Blog or Website. Never Choose a keyword in Random without analysis.

You can even use Google Adwords tool to make an analysis on Keyword Popularity and competitions.

Find Dofollow Blogs in Google

I do not know if you know this triick or not, I am about to share an idea to find out dofollow blogs using Google Search. Dofollow blogs are much important in order to build a backlink, so to make the task to find blogs that follow, I would like to share an idea.

U comment I follow badge is used by the blogs that are dofollow but since you can not search for image in Google search directly, just go to Google image search and search for u comment I follow which will produce you lists of images with same text. Go to the sites which hosts those images and maximum of the sites(80%) are dofollow blogs. This is really effective ideas and even if you want blogs with your niche keywords search in this way:

Suppose you would like blogs about SEO then ("U comment, I follow" SEO) would be the best keyword combination for this purpose.

How to know if Site is Pandalized by Google

Google has recently updated the new strategy to find the site is Scam or not in order to make the search engine more genuine. You can know what is Google Panda update in my previous article.

This is a new strategy by Google to find out Spams and to make Google Search more accurate and Spam free. Being a SEO follower and a blogger, I appreciate Google's idea which is called Google Panda Update. This is an update to check the spam sites and to overcome them in order to make the search results more and more efficient.
The sites which are pandalized, i.e proved spam in the Google panda update are given less priority in search engines although they are not completely dis indexed from Google.
